Case Study: Isle of Man Creamery

The Business

The Isle of Man Creameries started making cheese in the early 1960’s. The product was relaunched for sale on the island in 1994 and onto the UK market in early 1997. Isle of Man Creameries now make thousands of tonnes of cheese a year and export over 90% to the UK and throughout Europe. Each of the farms is regularly assessed in order to ensure they comply with the Government’s strict standards for food production. There are hundreds of milk producers on the island, and they are all members of the cooperative.

The Delivery

Isle of Man Creameries had selected the AgrosMilk system to cater for their extensive Milk Management Requirements. Isle of Man Creameries was experiencing increasing difficulty in matching supply and demand due to varying production levels between spring and autumn, which in some situations had led to a reduction in the milk price. AgrosMilk has successfully reversed this trend. The CoreMilk solution Dual Payment Module integrates with Isle of Man Creameries’ existing systems to calculate the correct price based on average daily production and not subject to any seasonality, deductions or additions.
